Finally, in 1996 he formed Cranial
Capital, Inc. as a vehicle for doing research and
consulting on a more flexible and independent basis.
Tim's experience offers three levels of value
to clients.
First, he has been a student of Packaging for 30
years. Most analysts and consultants are rotated in
and out of Packaging every 3 to 5 years but Tim's
three decades of experience have garnered an unparalleled
understanding of the evolution of materials, processing
technology, and innovation strategies that impact
the value creation process for business executives
and investors.
Second, he has diverse experience within the packaging
industry—Packaging in College, Packaging while working
in Industry and Packaging as an Analyst/Consultant
for his own and other financial service firms. Studied
it. Worked it. Analyzed it.
Third, he has worked at or managed companies with
revenues ranging from $1 million to $500 million to
$10+ billion. This may seem trivial, but the experience
of working at such a diverse range of business sizes
provides an understanding of cultural, resource and
political issues.
While employed by investment banks or consulting
firms, many research analysts have historically been
constrained in terms of the number of companies they
can cover, the sectors of packaging that they focus
on, the clients they can market to and in some cases
what they can say. Cranial Capital, Inc. respects
the privacy issues of its clients, however we strive
for independence in our research and analysis and
are therefore not limited in our pursuits. If we have
a conflict we will manage it with our clients and
if necessary make the proper disclosure in our reports.
